So i have just downloaded/installed diablo, now it says a patch is ready blah blah when i try to log in... I click okay and it restarts, 10 seconds later it says diablo 3 is already running and closes... -.- Any help please?! :)

Is it a different error than 37 or 73? If so you arent going to get much help here

No error, it's just when i click okay for patch, it closes reopens and says diablo 3 is already running...

ctrl+alt+del...find in the program list anything is still running, maybe there was some error and shutdown there if you find d3exe and then try again

This forum is probably the only place you wont see a person from Blizzard. No way in hell they'd show their faces around here at the moment. best of just googling it tbh

I had the same issue yesterday - it was because i initially download the us client instead of the EU client. I uninstalled the game and then downloaded the EU client from battle.net
this fixed the problem and only took about 15 mins!

ctrl+alt+delete go to task manager then proccess list and end anything that looks like diablo 3

Hehe, i think blizzard team !@#$ed up with scripting the update patch.. When you run diablo 3 and and try to login and get the message that you need to update your game. It closes diablo 3 and shows you an update launcher screen and then it says 'Diablo 3 is already running'.
If you look at Task manager and you find the file location to the agent 'C:ProgramDataBattle.netAgentAgent.976Logs' it shows error message '20:22:26.4122 GameSession: Could not set the process of the pid 2788 to the foreground.'.
Meaning their trying to bring a process to the foreground by using its PID. But the script which started the others processes is running in another shell and you can only manage background processes which started in the current shell.
So i guess its some hasty scripting which is casuing some problems for alot of people. Im trying to se if there is a way to solve it but hopefully they will solve it before me.

No it just because the Fking blizz didnt update the servers at the same time so some of us get the patch 1.0.2.9858 and the others still use the patch 1.0.2.9749
now the asia server and US server are both with 1.0.2.9858
but for the people in EU server only the patch 1.0.2.9749 can log in
so if u have still 1.0.2.9749

I use US and cant login cause of this Diablo is already running error. Cant for ALL servers WTH?

ok it's saying game is already running and closes when its patching. what do i do because i cant play my game. if any response please let me know please
